Sascha Rheker
Sascha was born in 1973 and got his first camera at the age of 12. During his compulsory social service he spend most of his money on camera gear while his former classmates laughed at him and spend their money on shares of the Deutsche Telekom (something they do not want to be reminded nowadays). As he was told that photojournalists were an endangered species on the brink of extinction, and considering the fact that a good friend who wanted to become a photographer failed the entrance tests, he decided to study medicine and political science and become a wealthy photographic amateur.
But then he met the wrong people, showed them his photographs and in 2002 he ended up as one of the founding members of attenzione, became an amateur student and lived happily ever after. (Despite the fact that his mother constantly reminds him, not to disturb the real photographers when being on assignment.)
